Unprofessional Valley News Wants to Censor the Inland Anti-Empire!

Posted on 10:31 PM, October 22, 2004

(Politics and Politicians · Temecula) -- Man, I thought I'd retired from this last month. On September 13, I posted a critique of a story from The Valley News in which I took them apart for atrocious writing and editing. Well, today (more than a month later) they're writing to Mike -- local Democratic candidate -- whining at him that I was I mean to them. And they're deeply offended. Shouldn't they spend more time fixing their own stories, and less time trying to edit this blog?

Well, one "dedicated Marine Corps wife" seems to feel that we've got too many freedoms in America. And the freedom of the press should be the first to go.

Just what Temecula Needs: Another Newspaper, only Less Professional!

Posted on 01:05 PM, September 13, 2004

(Politics and Politicians · Temecula) -- I haven't really bothered to look much at The Valley News, but I sure hope that the writing in this week's story about the opening of the local Democratic campaign headquarters isn't typical of the newspaper. It's not that it's necessarily biased; the problem is that this is just amateurishly bad writing, which even a high school newspaper editor would be embarassed to run.
